Sold! Armadale Development Site
Porter Commercial have successfully concluded the sale of a strategic development site in the City Centre of Armadale. The land holding was purchased by the State Government for $4.236 million and settled in September 2016. The property comprised several blocks totaling 12,301sqm enjoying frontages to Third Rd, Thomas Street and South Western Highway.
The development site has been acquired by the state government and is intended to house the new “Justice Complex” for the City of Armadale which will include a new court house and Police station. The existing court house and police station are run down and Local Government have been lobbying for some time for the new Justice Complex and this latest acquisition is positive news for the rapidly growing area as they look to take a stand against crime and anti-social behavior.
Armadale is one of the Perth metropolitan area’s five regional Cities and located 28 kilometers south of the Perth CBD and linked by both rail and highway. The City of Armadale has experienced rapid growth and estimates its population will increase from 55,000 to 85,000 over the next ten years.
